Inc. Names Curie Co's CEO, Erika Milczek, to Its 2026 Female Founders 500 List

Durham, NC –March 3, 2026 Curie Co, an innovator of new ingredients leveraging biotechnology and conscious chemistry, is proud to announce that founder and CEO, Erika Milczek, has been named to Inc.'s 2026 Female Founders 500, an annual list honoring the most dynamic women business leaders in the United States. The honor recognizes founders whose bold ideas, resilience, and execution are shaping the future of their industries.

The 2026 Female Founders honorees collectively generated approximately $12.3 billion in revenue in 2025 and $12.2 billion in funding to date, underscoring the economic impact of women-led businesses across sectors.

In 2025, Curie Co leveraged multiple strategic partnerships to expand across industries, inspire adoption, and co-develop new products. Their partnerships have included Active Concepts and the launch of AC Curazyme, a new quat alternative for hair care. A dynamic collaboration with P2 Science and Capsum to create Dualité Molécul'hair, a groundbreaking concept that demonstrates the future of hair care innovation powered by biotech, green chemistry, and innovative formulations. And, their strategic partnership with Microban, the global leader in antimicrobial technologies, enables the expansion of their preservation platform into paints, coatings, household, and industrial cleaning applications.

"This recognition reflects our team's dedication to turning elegant science into commercial reality through partnerships," said Milczek. "We're proving that biotechnology and conscious chemistry can transform entire industries, and we can do it faster with the right team and the right partners. From beauty to food, we're staying true to our mission: elevating the future of consumer goods, without compromising sustainability or performance."

Over the last 24 months, Curie Co has introduced new beauty and personal care ingredients to market with two breakthrough platforms. Curamina®, a bond-building bioactive produced with precision fermentation, works with proteins to strengthen hair and aid in lasting hair manageability. The AmpliPQ™ family redefines sodium benzoate preservation: AmpliPQ™ extends antimicrobial efficacy to pH 8.5, while AmpliPQ™-CF offers chelator-free preservation at pH 3-6, meeting the clean-beauty standards of major retailers, including Walmart, Target, Ulta, and Sephora.

In food, Curie Co launched Curabind®, a clean-label enzyme that addresses critical challenges in dairy production. Trials with leading U.S. dairy producers demonstrated up to 25% yield lift in strained yogurt and up to 11% yield increase in cheese production. The enzyme works across dairy and plant-based applications, including milk, yogurt, cheese, and more, providing a bio-based solution that maintains quality, reduces waste, and meets consumer demand for simpler ingredient lists.

"Each year, we are increasingly amazed by the extraordinary leaders on our Inc. Female Founders 500 list," says Bonny Ghosh, editorial director at Inc. "The honorees on this year's list include innovators in AI, beauty and wellness trendsetters winning devoted fans, and nonprofit leaders making a real impact in their communities. Together, they're showing all of us what trailblazing female leadership looks like."

Several honorees will be featured in Inc. magazine's Spring print issue, on newsstands March 17, 2026. To see the complete list of honorees, please visit: https://www.inc.com/female-founders/2026
